Callie
I was born in Maryville, TN but moved to Vonore when I was 7 and have been here ever since! When I turned 18 I went down the road of cosmetology but realized that wasn’t my calling. I soon went down another path as a physical therapy assistant, but soon came to realize that wasn’t the path for me either. I have always loved animals, with my soft spot being for cats “I have 5 of my own” Bitty, Tik tac, Callie, Kiki, and my newest addition, Patchy! Since being at TBAH, I wake up every day and love going to work. I believe this field is God’s plan for me, as they say, the third time’s the charm! Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my animals or playing video games. It’s a simple lifestyle, that brings me peace of mind and joy. I look forward to furthering my knowledge in veterinary medicine to be there for your pets at every step of life.
Cassidy
I was born and raised in Madisonville and have lived here all my life. I graduated from Cleveland State Community College with an Associate of Science in Psychology and Forestry, Wildlife, and Fisheries before transferring to Unity College Distance Education for my Bachelor’s of Science in Captive Wildlife Care. I also completed an internship in the summer of ‘22 at Zoo Knoxville in the Grasslands Department, where I helped take care of the giraffes and zebras. When I’m not caring for animals, I enjoy spending time with my fiancé, Jake, going hiking, reading, and writing my book! Although I am new to the world of veterinary medicine, I love getting to come to work every day and love on our clients’ fur babies!
Ashley
Vet Assistant
Hi, my name is Ashley. I live in Maryville with my big blended family. My husband and I have five children (4 boys and one girl) that range from 7 months old to 16 years old. Outside of work I enjoy drawing/painting, playing video games and spending time with my 3 dogs, 2 cats and bearded dragon. I have been working in veterinary medicine for around 2 years- I started at TBAH in July.
Megan H.
Vet Assistant
I graduated from Pellisippi State with my Associates of General Science in 2022. I have been in the veterinary field for about a year and a half now and I’m currently enrolled in Penn Foster to become a licensed technician. When I am not working or studying, I am usually with my boyfriend Dawson. I have 3 dogs of my own, a black lab and 2 blue ticks. I also just rescued a little orange kitten named Pipkin. My favorite thing about this field is being able to make a difference in animals’ lives and learning more about them everyday.

Vet Assistant
Dr. Kendra Flynn Barbra
Veterinarian
I was raised in Rockford, TN where I still live today on my family’s farm. We raise a commercial herd of ~100 Angus cattle, ~50 Katahdin/Dorper sheep, 2 horses, ~30 chickens, and of course dogs and cats! My high school sweetheart, Clint, and I got married after my first year of vet school. He has continued to put up with my animal obsession and he is guilty of bringing in more and more sheep!
In March 2020, my daughter Riley Jane, was born! Three years later we’ve added a little boy to our family, Lee Archer! They are my greatest accomplishment out of everything I’ve done- I’m so thankful for them and the joy they bring me. My little family loves spending our days on the farm or in the mountains taking in God’s beautiful creation. Hiking has always been one of my favorite hobbies and in 2016, to celebrate the National Park Service’s 100th anniversary, I participated in the Hike 100 program and hiked over 100 miles of the park that year! I also enjoy planting flowers and gardening around our yard. I’m also known as the crazy plant lady with over 50 houseplants inside my home!
Dr. Sasha
Veterinarian
I enjoy traveling with my dogs, fishing and spending time with friends.
I am excited about expanding my career at Tellico Bay Animal Hospital. I enjoy both soft tissue and orthopedic surgery and neonatal care/theriogenology. I have recently attended an orthopedic surgery veterinary conference to further my education in orthopedics as I will be the primary orthopedic surgeon with Dr. Gobble’s retirement. I really enjoy the fact that I can practice quality medicine for the community but also have a wonderful work/life balance. Tellico Bay has truly blessed me with the most opportunities.
Sarah
Office Manager
As the office manager, I’m usually working in the background at TBAH to keep things flowing smoothly and ensuring we have everything in stock that the clinic needs. When needed, I also help in the rooms and with reception but you typically won’t see me when you visit the clinic as there is plenty to keep me busy in the back!
Dr. Johnny Ray Gobble
Veterinarian
In 2007, for personal religious reasons, I left the larger practice to venture out to start my own practice as a sole veterinarian at Tellico Bay Animal Hospital. After three years, the business outgrew its leased area in a shopping center so we moved into a brand new building across the street where the business continues to grow today.
I’m married to my wife Brittney and we have three children: Alexander Catalina (Ali Cat), Brooklynn Bridgette, and Obadiah Rykerr. We all live on our mini farm with lots of furry friends: a fox, dogs, cats, rabbits, and not so furry chickens and reptiles. Part of the mini farm includes a truffiere for French black truffles.
I enjoy anything outdoors but love the water the most. My wife, Brittney, and I are SCUBA certified and enjoy lake and river activities. Other favorites include gardening, forestry, falconry, and enjoying the many foods he can find from around the world.

Sarah (Sam)
Veterinary Assistant
I was born and raised in Tellico Plains, Tennessee, and have continued to live locally my whole life. I live on a farm with Kendra, where we have horses, goats/sheep, chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats. I love the farm life and working in veterinary medicine. I first began working in veterinary medicine ~18 years ago, and I always find my way back to it! In my free time, I like to go on jeep rides and horseback riding with Kendra. My favorite breed of horse is the American Quarter Horse. Due to another Sarah working at TBAH, I’ve been nicknamed “Sam” for short.
Dr. Ashley Ross
Veterinarian
Dr. Ashley Ross is originally from Arizona, where she began her career in veterinary medicine in 2009. She went to veterinary technician school, became a certified veterinary technician, and worked as a lead tech in a veterinary emergency room, while getting her undergraduate degree in biology in pre-medicine at Grand Canyon University. After graduating from Lincoln Memorial University College of Veterinary Medicine, she decided to call Tennessee home and moved to Knoxville where she nurtured a love for surgery, diagnostic ultrasound and clinical pathology, while utilizing her experience of emergency medicine in general practice.
From a very young age, she has been a competitive athlete and often spends her weekends playing on a coed soccer team- The Dolly Llamas, running, going to the gym, golfing with her boyfriend, and enjoying the beautiful outdoors east Tennessee has to offer at the lake kayaking, swimming, and fishing. When not being active, Ashley is an avid sports fan, who loves going to Nashville MLS & hockey games, and watching her favorite football team The Arizona Cardinals.
Her home is filled with 2 crazy dogs, a mischievous & goofy bloodhound named Orion, who often uses his nose to sniff out trouble, and a spunky rat terrier named Jane, who runs the house doing parkour.
Dr. Taylor Tvede
Veterinarian
I met my husband, Reid, while hiking the AT and we were married shortly after I moved to Tennessee in 2022. We love anything that involves being outside, particularly hiking, running, rollerblading, and paddleboarding. We have a little adventure cat named Makita who hikes and kayaks with us as well.
